We are a small English institute in Chile and currently have various programs, including with the government and also private English classes. We wish to expand our programs, including an online platform for live English classes and incorporate more native English teachers into our classrooms. We are offering experience for those students looking to gain teaching hours and who need a flexible schedule for their classes. We also have the ability to allow students to dictate their schedules for when and how often they teach.
They would be live classes through video. Students would be required to prepare classes, be able to answer questions, and while it is not a requirement, it would help to know some Spanish. We will be present to help as needed in class. The interns will be left to plan and teach their own classes. We will provide feedback and pointers to help improve the teaching environment and lesson plans and also give various evaluations throughout the time period in which interns are teaching with us.
WE DO NOT OFFER EMPLOYEE COMPENSATIONS such as payment or any other compensations related to normal employee/employer relationships. This is an internship, in which we expect a level of professionalism and commitment, whereas in-turn, we offer the teaching hours required by your school’s course and professional feedback in an experienced English Institute with teachers dedicated to the industry with years of experience teaching English in a foreign country.
The head English teachers are BYU graduates with Experience teaching in the MTC in Chile and Provo, Utah. There, they taught both English and Spanish. They have been teaching in their own English Institute for 7 years now, and follow the same methodology as in the MTC. Focusing on building confidence, being able to speak and express ideas in English. Moving one subject at a time, having many opportunities to practice and re-enforce what they have learned. Building long-term memory and basics so that they have the foundation to be able to continue learning on their own.
